A less greasy chaffle recipe made with almond flour & sour cream.
If you’re on a keto diet, I’m willing to bet that you probably own a mini waffle maker. Chaffles are the fastest and easiest way to make low carb bread in less than 5 minutes! A total diet saver. However, traditional chaffles are made with shredded cheese making them super greasy and fat. Yeah, I know, that’s usually what you want a keto diet, but sometimes I just want “bread” that doesn’t get grease all over the place… not mention, back me up, if you know what I’m sayin’.
These Chaffles are still made with basic ingredients that you probably already have at home including almond flour, egg, sour cream, and baking powder. You can also substitute the sour cream for plain greek yogurt! That’s right, just 4 ingredients to make what tastes and feels just like bread.
The texture is soft instead of crispy making them perfect for a sandwich with crunchy lettuce and bacon. I also really like this recipe for a deli meat and cheese sandwich. It’s like eating Subway without all of the guilt!
