If you’re on a keto diet, I’m willing to bet that you probably own a mini waffle maker. Chaffles are the fastest and easiest way to make low carb bread in less than 5 minutes! A total diet saver. However, traditional chaffles are made with shredded cheese making them super greasy and fat. Yeah, I know, that’s usually what you want a keto diet, but sometimes I just want “bread” that doesn’t get grease all over the place. I also think I get enough cheese in my diet!

Almond Flour Keto Chaffles Without Cheese | Less fat and less grease! This is my favorite keto chaffle recipe for sandwiches, burgers, and breakfast waffles. Made with just almond flour, sour cream, egg, and baking powder in your mini waffle maker.

These Chaffles are still made with basic ingredients that you probably already have at home including almond flour, egg, sour cream, and baking powder. You can also substitute the sour cream for plain greek yogurt! That’s right, just 4 ingredients to make what tastes and feels just like bread.

The texture is soft instead of crispy making them perfect for a sandwich with crunchy lettuce and bacon. I also really like this recipe for a deli meat and cheese sandwich. It’s like eating Subway without all of the guilt!

Less Fat Keto Chaffles (Without Cheese)

If you're looking for easy keto sandwich bread, burger buns, or even breakfast waffles, these amazing "lower fat" chaffles are so simple to make in your mini waffle maker with just almond flour, sour cream, egg, and a pinch of baking powder. The best low carb replacement for bread!

Servings: 2 chaffles
Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 tbsp almond flour
  • 1 tbsp sour cream *see notes
  • pinch of baking powder
Instructions
  1. Preheat your mini waffle maker.

  2. Meanwhile, whisk all of the ingredients together in a small bowl.

  3. Spray your waffle maker with non-stick spray and pour HALF of the batter in. Close the lid and allow to cook for about 3 minutes or until the automatic timer or light goes off. Repeat for second waffle.

Recipe Notes
  • You can also replace the sour cream with plain greek yogurt.*
  • Each chaffle contains about 5g fat and 2g carbs.
