Pillsbury Biscuit Garlic Butter Cheese Bombs (Quick & Easy!)

These easy cheese stuffed biscuits will knock your socks off! They are filled with gooey mozzarella, baked, and then brushed with melted garlic butter. This simple recipe is my family's favorite lazy day comfort food! They're delicious served as a snack, game day appetizer, party food or even dinner side dish. Yum!

Ingredients

  • 1 (16oz) container of refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese (soft, shredded or diced string cheese)
  • 4 tbsp melted butter (half a stick)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Separate the biscuits and top each one evenly with cheese. I used 4 ounces of soft mozzarella cut into 8 cubes. You can also use shredded mozzarella, string cheese or even cheddar if you'd like.

  3. Wrap the dough around the cheese and make a seal using your fingers to press and pinch the dough together. You really want to make sure you create a tight seal so that the cheese doesn't try to escape while baking.

  4. Place each cheese stuffed dough ball seal side down onto your baking sheet; bake for 10-12 minutes or until the dough turns golden brown. The longer you can bake them, the better. You want the cheese to melt all the way though.

  5. Mealwhile, melt the butter in the microwave and then stir in the garlic powder, Italian seasoning and salt.

  6. As soon as the biscuits emerge from the oven, generously brush each one with the butter mixture.

  7. These biscuits are best served fresh and warm. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Feel free to use any cheese that you'd like as long as it is soft and melts easily. Shredded cheese will actually melt the fastest! I would just loosely smoosh the cheese together into 1 inch balls before placing it onto your biscuits to ensure that you get enough cheese filling.
